Privacy Policy

This page explains what we do with the information you give us when you buy a Digital Business Launch Kit or fill in our welcome form. It is written in plain English.

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Who we are

Picor Tech runs starter.picor.tech, where the Digital Business Launch Kit is sold, and sites.picor.tech, where the £199 Website Package is sold. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@picor.tech.

What we collect

  • Details you send in the welcome form: your name, email and phone number, your business name and what your business does, your website, style, colour and logo preferences, your services and prices, your opening hours, your social media links, your Google Business Profile and Stripe situation, and any extra notes you want us to consider.
  • Files you choose to upload: a logo or logo inspiration, photos of your work, premises or team, and a price list. Every upload is optional.
  • Payment confirmation: card payments are taken by Stripe on Stripe's own page, so we never see or store your card number. When a payment succeeds, Stripe tells us the email used at checkout, the amount and a payment reference so we can mark your order as paid.
  • Basic technical information: your IP address, which we keep only in a scrambled form and only to limit repeated form submissions and block spam, plus standard technical logs kept by our hosting provider.

What we do not collect

We never ask for passwords, login codes or card details. Please do not send them in the form or by email. Your welcome form answers and uploaded files are not shared with Meta for advertising.

How we use your information

  • To confirm your payment and your order.
  • To create your branding, website, social media setup, launch posts, Google Business Profile support, payment support, stationery and guides.
  • To contact you about your order by email or phone.
  • To send you your payment confirmation and your finished handover.
  • To keep accounting records that the law requires us to keep.
  • To stop spam and abuse of our forms.

We use your order information because it is needed to deliver the service you bought, and for our legitimate interest in keeping accurate records and protecting the site. We do not send you marketing newsletters or sell or rent your personal information. Advertising measurement sharing is described below.

Who else sees it

  • Our own team, and only the people working on your order.
  • Stripe, so they can take your payment and confirm it to us.
  • Our hosting, storage and email delivery providers, who handle your information only on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes.
  • Google, Stripe, Facebook or Instagram when we help you set up an account there. Those accounts stay yours and under your control.

Advertising cookies and Meta

We use Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, to measure page visits from Facebook and Instagram ads and support ad optimization. When advertising tracking is permitted, Meta receives the page address without query parameters, browser and device information, IP address and advertising cookie identifiers, including its _fbp cookie and, where available, ad click information. These can connect visits with ads and your Meta account. We do not enable automatic form data collection or send your email, brief answers or uploads to Meta.

In regions requiring consent, including the United Kingdom and European Economic Area, tracking stays off until you accept advertising cookies. If your region cannot be determined, we also ask first. Elsewhere tracking may run without a banner, but we honor saved refusals, Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals.

Use Cookie settings on any page to accept, reject or withdraw permission. Rejection is as easy as acceptance. Opening settings does not change your choice. We store your visitor reference, region, choice, time and the notice shown in your browser, retaining earlier acceptance evidence when you withdraw. Clearing browser storage removes these local records. Blocked visits are not reported later if you accept.

When advertising tracking is permitted and we have confirmed a payment with Stripe, we also tell Meta that a purchase happened, together with the order value and currency. Your name, email, brief answers and files are not part of that report. Reaching the welcome form does not count as a sale; only a payment Stripe has confirmed does, and each confirmed payment is reported once.

Meta may process information internationally under its own privacy policy. Read Meta’s privacy policy for its uses, cookie retention and privacy controls.

Where it is kept

Your brief and files are stored in private storage that visitors to our sites cannot read. When we send ourselves a copy of a brief, the download links inside that email expire after seven days. Some of our providers are based outside the United Kingdom, including Stripe. When your information goes there, we rely on the legal safeguards that UK data protection law provides for international transfers.

How long we keep it

  • Your brief and uploaded files: for 12 months after your order is finished, then deleted, unless you ask us to keep them longer or you come back to us with a new project.
  • Payment and accounting records: for as long as UK law requires, which is usually six years.
  • If you fill in the form but never pay: we keep your submission for 12 months in case you come back, then delete it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop using it in a particular way, or object to how we use it. Email hello@picor.tech and we will reply within one month. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Our services are for businesses, and we do not intend to collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters to you, we will tell you by email. The date at the top of this page shows which version you are reading.
